A disease resistant heirloom apple with a loyal following. This apple is one of the biggest produced. It’s used for pies, sauce, and drying. Its dry fresh and subacid flavor does not lend to fresh eating. It does not store well and is best picked before it’s fully ripe the last week of September or first week of October in Maine.
