Sweet sixteen is a fine textured crisp flesh apple. It’s complex flavor is a combination of sweet, nutty, and spicy flavors. Some people think it tastes like a Cherry lifesaver. The medium to large fruit is striped and washed in rosy red. It has some resistance to apple scab and keeps in cold storage until mid-winter. Zone 3, bloom group 4
