Potomac pear is a cross between moon glow and Anjou pears. It has a fruity pear taste similar and more consistent than Anjou. It is at its best when stored in a fridge for a week or two and brought out to ripen in a paper bag for a few days. When fully ripened in this way it is sweet, juicy, and full of pear flavor. If you prefer a crisp pear you can eat it out of the fridge without further ripening. It keeps for a two months in cold storage. Zone 5
