Jonagold is a red blushed over yellow apple and a vigorous tree. It produces large crops of high quality desert apples. It’s firm, breaking sweet-tart flesh comes from its parents Golden delicious and Jonathan. Makes a great juice with a hard to beat aroma when pressed. Jonagold was one of the best apples from the Cornell breeding program in Geneva, New York. Zone 4-8, bloom group 3
