Golden delicious is a productive, sweet, yellow apple well known for fresh eating. This apple is crisp and juicy with a honeyed, spicy flavor. It is an outstanding desert apple that bakes and stores well. When used in apple pies the sugar can be cut in half and still have a sweet flavor. This tree is self-fertile, but cropping is improved with another pollinizer. As a pollinizer it is incompatible with Braeburn, Fuji. Jonagold, and Gala. Zone 4-8, bloom group 4
