Coles quince is a large yellow with a slight brownish blush. They are an excellent summer cooking apple that ripens at the end of August. They don’t over ripen quickly like some other summer varieties. Can be used to make applesauce for winter treats, baked in a pie, or eaten fresh. Zone 4
