Co-op 33 is a high-quality, apple scab immune apple. A small-medium red over green apple with very crispy flesh. This apple was developed by the cooperative breeding program of Purdue, Rutgers, and Illinois universities. It’s trade marked supermarket name is Pixie Crunch. It is a good apple for the home grower because the tree doesn’t grow overly large or need to be sprayed to produce nice looking fruit. Ripens in September Zone 3, bloom group 4
