Brock apple is a McIntosh by Golden Delicious cross bred by the University of Maine cooperative extension at Highmoor farm in Monmouth Maine. It was at Brock’s orchard in Alfred that this variety gained its popularity. A large red blushed yellow apple It has a full sweet-tart apple flavor with low acidity. The flesh is creamy white and the skin is thin. Valued as a desert apple, baking, drying and sauce. Harvested in mid-October Zone 4. Bloom 3
